Italian "grandezza", blended with Scandinavian "hygge" and Belgian hospitality
Our passion for Italy goes back to 2003, when we spent our first ever vacation in the country, in Umbria to be precise. Over the years we traveled many regions in Italy but fell completely in love with Piemonte in 2009.
In 2010 we bought a holiday home, in Cocconato, which we “traded in” for another one in Agliano Terme in 2014.
In 2018 we decided to take a huge step: leave our home country Belgium to become Italian residents.
In the late summer of 2019 we opened our Bed & Breakfast.
In Villa Pumila we want to offer our guests the best services possible and a home away from home. Because home is not a place: it's a feeling.
We love our big pink villa and obviously chose to work with the Italian "grandezza" of the 19th century building. But we tried to give it a twist, adding some Scandinavian "hygge" and a lot of Belgian / Flemish hospitality.
We want to convey our love for Piemonte to our guests and make them fall in love with the region, as much as we did ourselves many years ago. This means sharing tips and information, (assisting in) organizing trips and visits, pointing out the little things that make the Monferrato, Langhe and Roero such a great place to spend some leisure time.
Geertrui, Steven, Pepino the dog and the three cats are looking forward to welcoming you at Villa Pumila soon.
